American Hustle is an American crime comedy-drama film directed by David O. Russell, from a screenplay written by Eric Warren Singer and Russell based on the FBI ABSCAM operation of the late 1970s and early 1980s.[4] It is scheduled to have a wide release on December 20, 2013 (limited release December 13) by Columbia Pictures.[5] It was filmed in Boston and Worcester, Massachusetts, and New York City, United States.
A con man, Irving Rosenfeld, along with his seductive British partner,
Sydney Prosser, is forced to work for a wild FBI agent, Richie DiMaso.
DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia.
